Design, deploy, and maintain The College of Nursing Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing Healthcare website. Develops, maintains, and documents web services making use of common web technologies, including but not limited to Drupal and Laravel; meets with units/product owners to assess application needs, potential designs, and implementation details of new applications/web sites; works within best practices to ensure code and infrastructure quality; troubleshoots and corrects problems with existing applications; ensures all web applications and web site comply with regulatory and usability standards/requirements; monitors site and application performance; researches, recommends and implements improvements; maintains concise, consistent documentation for all programmed applications.

Additional Information for Applicants: Pre Employment Screening Requires the successful completion of a background check. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer & information science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in developing in Drupal or a similar CMS; experience developing and ingesting RESTful APIs; experience in at least one general purpose programming language (I.E. PHP, Ruby, Swift, Python, etc.)Familiarity with at least one common database management system (I.E. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.); knowledge of common programming paradigms like Object Oriented Programming and MVC; ability and willingness to learn new technologies on the job; familiarity with at least one distribution of the Linux operating system; ability to work collaborate with other developers to create and maintain software.

Desired Qualifications

Experience using Laravel or similar MVC frameworks; experience with IT Automation tools, Continuous Integration, or software testing; experience using version control systems to track changes and collaborate with team members; experience managing or maintaining software ecosystems; experience with UI evaluation and testing; experience with assessing software challenges; experience with UI frameworks and pipelines; experience with conforming to an infrastructure security framework.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities We are seeking a Web Developer in Columbus, OH, as part of the Marketing Technology Team. This team provides web development services for the Mettler Toledo corporate website (www.mt.com) along with other customer, partner, and internally leveraged web applications for our global digital marketing initiatives. As a Developer you will be exposed to digital marketing topics including but not limited to web content management, digital asset management, email marketing, search engine optimization and advertising, social media integration, & web analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for development and operations of web-based applications.This is a mid-level Java position for a candidate who has technical skills and knowledge in the Java and web technologies area. This developer is a technical resource charged with participation in the successful design, development, and implementation of projects for our corporate web application. The team leverages solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, Pingdom, Content Delivery Networks, and translation management tools. This team member works closely with front-end developers, but some experience with full-stack web development is desired. This developer works closely with other developers on the team, and may coordinate technical projects with local and off-site consultants. This team member will be highly engaged with the business team, located off-site, and will work closely through the phases of the project with both the business owner and QA lead. You will also: * Design, develop, and troubleshoot Java based web applications. * Create technical specifications to then implement or pass to local and/or off-site consultants for development. * Work on several projects at a time. * Manage time and priorities to ensure that commitments are met and that the lines of communication are flowing to development manager. * Use industry best practices to deliver high quality code written for efficiency, readability, and reuse. * React quickly and responsibly to operational issues on public websites. * Participate or lead design discussions and project status meetings. What You Need to Succeed * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related major; will consider equivalent business experience. * Minimum 3 years of professional software development * Minimum 3 years of Java coding experience * Minimum 2 years of web development * Experience developing Java web applications with servlet / JSP technology * Development & maintenance of HTML, CSS, & Javascript * Self-starter with self-initiative and direction * Excellent problem solving and organizational skills * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills The best candidates would likely have knowledge or experience in some of the following: * Experience implementing AEM 6.x or similar web content management system, preferably front-end and back-end development * Experience in other associated technologies such as Sling, OSGi, Felix, Jackrabbit, JCR, CRX * Experience working with geographically separate project teams * Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns * Experience with web servers such as Apache * Experience with REST services and JSON data format * Experience with web performance optimization * Experience with search tools such as Lucene or Solr * Other Technologies of benefit: JQuery, Groovy, Maven, Subversion.
