This Programmer Analyst role from Robert Half Technology will bring together your understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements and your desire to create and define systems scope and objectives. In this role, you would provide recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases, using research and fact-finding. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Evaluates methods of processing. Makes suggestions for improvements

  • Build and evaluate programming changes prior to implementation for each systems development phase. Record test cases and expected outcomes. Ensure that requirements are met. May create simple tests or a defined subset of a larger system test. May suggest acceptance/rejection in cases where not all requirements are met

  • Assembles and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst

  • Assists in the developing communication content for specific system changes being implemented in production

  • Analyzes user requests for systems changes or improvements. Documents functional requirements and assesses cost, feasibility and utility. Develops recommendation as to how, when or whether to proceed with making the changes

  • Acts as the in-house guide on applications, systems and/or processes to internal clients in identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Consultation can take the form of troubleshooting and/or education

  • Analyzes and records issues, collaborating with other programmers to fix code problems

  • Provides ongoing training and assistance for end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process

Job Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • 5+ years experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements

  • Proven success acting in a project management capacity

  • Comprehensive understanding of programming languages

  • Proficiency in PC and mainframe hardware/software

  • SQL Server Integration Services experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server 2008

  • Deep understanding of ASP.NET

  • Expertise in C#

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Job Functions Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operations of a Flexographic Die Cutter. * Make-ready, adjust and run job as efficiently as possible to meet safety and productivity standards. * Prep rolls for machine, keep ink full in machine, Make adjustments to web feed as needed. * Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications and special die cutting instructions * Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects * Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality * Ensure information is communicated between shifts * Ensure Company Safety, Quality and Production standards are met * Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Inline machine * Maintenance duties include stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces and climbing ladders. * Must input information into computer for proper tracking of inventory and waste. * Occasional squatting and kneeling for cleaning and clearing jams * Must be able to work all Shifts.
