Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily operations and maintenance tasks, to include maintaining web servers and sites, troubleshooting issues, responding to service desk ticket escalations, and debugging and documenting legacy systems.

  • Supporting and providing dedicated support to create and maintain content for the agency's critical websites, developing innovative and creative content for the website (i.e. graphics, infographics, videos, podcasts, etc.)

  • Supporting the integration of SaaS, PaaS, and COTS/GOTS product configuration/APIs/ web services with agency infrastructure to help meet security and audit requirements.

  • Creating and integrating web applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, through production deployment.

  • Providing technical and process support to the agency website governing body to ensure websites are monitored in compliance with federal and agency mandates.

  • Maintaining and updating any applicable plugin or extension needed for all agency supported web browser.

  • Collaborating with respective website product owners to develop a plan to maintain and support the platform.

  • Performing quality assurance reviews of website content and implement upgrades and improvements to enhance user experience.

  • Deploying standard images to support web browser configuration and device security.

  • Managing, operating, and updating personal identity verification (PIV) to facilitate website registration.

  • Performing software/ hardware evaluation and respond to and manage web-related Geographic Information Unit (GIU) issues.

  • Providing standard O&M support to agency websites in accordance with the approved O&M Plan at consistent with priority service requirement.

  • Maintaining website documentations including Helpful Hint documents and providing current information and other updates necessary to facilitate access to information by a worldwide user community.

  • Conducting training through various channels - in-person training, virtual webinar, video training, and end-user guide material review.

  • Supporting the creation and management of MS Azure Resource Groups, resources, deployment templates, and Azure Web Applications.

  • Supporting analysis of alternatives (AoA) to select applicable commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • An active SECRET or the ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 - 7 years, or master's degree with 3 - 5 years, or PhD with 1 - 2 years' experience is required; four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • 5+ years of experience as a web developer, SharePoint developer, or software engineer

  • Significant experience developing web applications and Web Services using the ASP.NET, C#, VB.Net, JavaScript, and VBScript is required.

  • Experience in graphics, layout, scripting, programming, as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design and n-tier development.

  • Experience operating as a member of a team that utilizes an agile scrum delivery model.

  • Must be able to apply software development principles, concepts, and techniques including software design concepts, test methods, and integration practices.

  • Experience with Qualys (tool) to perform Web Application security vulnerability testing.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with stakeholders to define system requirements.

  • Experience with Desire experience with cloud architecture.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
