Web Developer II
Web Application Development. Develop and program web applications and plugins for content management systems.
Implement applications in a production environment. Support the organization's strategies and goals relative to internal and external communications thru the act of programming. Involved in the full life cycle of application development: requirements gathering, architecting, coding, implementing, maintaining and supporting software, quality assurance (testing), and deployment.
Bug Tracking/Fixes. Work closely with customers and peers to identify flaws in existing web applications.
Identify solutions to these flaws, program the solutions, and apply the solutions to the software. Responsible for providing robust solutions in a timely fashion to mitigate downtime or other negative impacts for web application users.
Analysis & Design. Develop technical and functional specifications from users' requirements and business needs.
Continuous Improvement. Research the web development field for new technologies and standards that improve web application functionality, stability, security, and performance.
Regularly review high-quality web applications of other organizations and critically evaluate UF Health standards against them. Assist with analyzing current processes and procedures to create future solutions that lead to gains in efficiency and cost savings. Track time and effort, and prepare status reports for progress reporting.
