The Web Developer analyzes, designs, implements, modifies, and supports professional and consumer-facing enterprise web applications. The position supports the database back-end and mechanisms for internal server communication.
Design, document, develop, and test all enterprise level web applications.
Analyze and improve performance, scalability, and stability of applications.
Develop in a team environment with other engineers.
Develop and support middleware to communicate with centralized servers.
Develop installation programs for websites.
Consults with stakeholders and team members to design, build, and manage websites.
Manage web infrastructure (IIS, load balancing, and web farm).
Resolve trouble tickets, documenting action steps and resolutions.
Write queries using SQL for a wide variety of applications.
Work closely with quality assurance department to maintain a high level of stability.
Work with marketing and product development teams to gather requirements and verify satisfactory solutions.
Help drive process improvement in the web development lifecycle.
May lead and direct work of others.
Use professional judgment to resolve problems.
Perform other duties as required.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
3-5 years of experience in the field or a related area
Utilize skills in development areas including object oriented programming (C#), databases (SQL), Model, View, Controller (MVC), and web applications (ASP.NET);
Proven experience in enterprise web site development and writing web applications
Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and debugging complex applications
Position requires a firm background in web development and general programming processes including analysis, design, and implementation.
Strong knowledge of development tools and environments, testing tools and environments, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented principles
Experience with version control, branch management, IIS, and other web infrastructure technologies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to maintain a positive attitude
Strong written skills and pays close attention to detail
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment and be flexible
