The customer is interested in IT Modernization efforts and Reskilling and Workforce Transformation. Reskill and upskill employees impacted by IT modernization efforts, evolve workforce to more 21st Century skillsets and work practices, and enable the workforce to drive successful IT Modernization efforts going forward utilizing in-house talent.

The Web Design Analyst designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements.

Assists with requirements elicitation and validation, contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's online offerings. Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications. Ensures website(s) is available to the desired audience with appropriate links and security.

Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and procedures. Designs web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on the organization's communications strategies and goals. Researches and evaluates new related technologies.

Understands 508 compliance and ensure web pages are 508 compliant according to the customers' standards. Responsible for performing complex program assignments in analyzing, defining, coding in the design, and implementing cost effective information technology solutions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of systems program experience. Includes working knowledge of this technical field and the ability to complete moderately complex assignments.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with 508 compliance.

  • Three (3) years of experience as a Web Designer.

  • Experience with a variety of software development lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Web Designer Perspecta has an immediate need for a Web Designer –in Washington, D.C. Area * Designs and builds web sites using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. * Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements. * Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's on-line offerings. Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications. * Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code (such as HTML, XML, and Javascript) for components of the website. * Works with graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. * Responsible for interface implementation. Performs all functional duties independently. Works on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s). * Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Qualifications Required: A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is preferred. * A minimum of ten (10) years experience in software development, with at least 7 years experience in Web-based design/development. * Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program. * Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. * Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel. * Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing and building Web-based software systems. * Extensive experience designing and developing user interface features, site animation and special effects elements. * Extensive experience with at least two graphics software applications, along with relevant design techniques and tools. * Extensive experience collaborating with other Web designers/developers to enhance Web site look-and-feel to support the organization's external communication strategies and goals. * Possesses strong navigation and site design instincts. * Extensive experience collaborating in a team environment to develop a Web site concept, interface design and architecture, and then to design and develop software (e.g. Javascript, HTML, XML, etc) to implement the solution. * Excellent communication skills.
