Description

The College of Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering is seeking to fill a part-time position of Web Designer to aid in the development of program websites. Knowledge of WordPress and/or other web-authoring tools required.

Hours will be approximately 20 hours per week. If interested, please attach a resume and cover letter, and include links of 2-3 websites you have developed.

Applicants with a strong interest and experience in web-focused design, software and/or application development, website architecture support and on-line content development will be given preference. Students in their sophomore, junior or senior year studying Information Sciences and Technology, Computer Science, Journalism, or related major are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of website development, and use of a content management system such as Adobe Dreamweaver is preferred. Ability to develop a web based mapping application using Google Maps Application Programming Interface (API) or a similar application interface is also preferred. The successful candidates will work up to 20 hours/week during the spring semester. A possibility exists for successful candidates to continue to work over the summer semester. This is a paid internship located at the University Park campus; relocation and housing are not provided. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
