Responsibilities

Project Description

This position is to work with the strategic communications team on website design improvement for the Department of Defense's environmental and energy research and development (R&D) programs. The website was historically designed mostly for the research community, and the team is working on developing a more engaging interface to also increase interaction with the general public, Congress and DoD leadership. This position will propose and incorporate website design elements and concepts that concisely convey the programs' brand and core messaging so that audience members immediately understand the programs' mission, vision, and impact.

Tasks

  • Conduct research on and present ideas for design improvements that would engage the programs' target audiences.

  • Develop wireframes and design mockups for presenting and implementing UI/UX changes.

  • Monitor Google Analytics to understand user journeys and assess levels of engagement.

  • Develop search engine optimization (SEO) recommendations.

  • Support general rebranding efforts across digital products.

  • Support website content management efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • A GPA of 3.3 or higher

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in interactive or graphic design, communications, or similar

  • Familiarity with UI/UX

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey effective design suggestions and concepts

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.

USD $22.00 - USD $36.00 /Hr.
