Web Application Developer
Proagrica Software is looking for an experienced web developer to join the Web team. You will be working with a tight-knit group of engineers and developers building the next generation precision ag products and tools on the web.

Positions are available in our Stillwater, Tulsa, or Oklahoma City locations.

What you will be doing:
Building interfaces and architecture to support our growing product offerings in a new Web-based application
Creating map applications to help our customers view and interpret their data
Researching and Prototyping new technologies that may improve the performance or add new functionality to our applications
Working with developers to optimize our current development workflow
Writing readable, maintainable and performant code.

What we will expect from you:
The basics: Competency in modern front-end web technologies. You should be very comfortable writing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Propensity to learn: Web development is continuously evolving. We want to foster an environment of teaching and learning to equip individuals on team with the tools needed to be successful.
An eye for design: We have a fantastic design team, but you should be able to provide suggestions and input.
Communication: Effective communication within the team as well as others in chat, documentation, and collaboration is essential.

Technologies we use:
ReactJS: Our codebase is React/Redux.
MapboxGL: We push our geo through Mapbox
NPM: We use npm scripts to automate development and deployment
Jest/Enzyme: Our code is thoroughly tested using a blend of testing utilities
Sass: All CSS is written in Sass
Microsoft: We use Team Foundation Server for issue tracking, code repository, and build environment, Teams for communication
.NET Core: Our APIs are written using Microsoft's open-source web framework

Position Summary This position is responsible for planning and development of automated applications systems to support the business needs of the organization. This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development and testing of appropriate programs or systems. This position works with users, management and others to identify and define long- and short-range information systems requirements. Position Responsibilities * Review and analyze organization's business needs, confer with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions, and develop plans of approach, including project completion time estimates * Perform all aspects of systems design, including writing required programs, testing time evaluation of new processes, and implementation of new applications * Conduct or coordinate user acceptance, performance stress, regression and integration testing, and make changes and corrections as needed * Develop process/system design alternatives for major portions of systems under analysis * Design output formats and user formats as dictated by user specification and established procedure to ensure ease of use and functionality * Identify problems and develop appropriate solutions * Evaluate interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect other applications * Produce deliverables related to the assigned projects, perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of systems and procedures to solve complex business problems * Prepare program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications * Participate in structured walk-throughs and other activities to review systems, and provide training and support * Perform ongoing maintenance and review of applications systems and programs * Study feasibility of proposed software applications or system modifications by identifying potential requirements and system restrictions to guide project development Other Duties Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the work day. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications: Requirements include a bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems from an accredited college or university; a vocational or technical education course resulting in certification in computer applications equivalent to a bachelor's degree; four years of computer applications experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates who possess: * Experience with Object oriented analysis and design * Solid understanding of design patterns * Experience with LINQ to SQL, Entity Framework, NHibernate or other OR/M * Experience with Web technologies such as Asp.Net Web forms, Asp.Net MVC (MVW), HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery. * Experience with Web Services, WCF and Service Oriented Architecture * Experience in developing reporting tools in .NET utilizing Microsoft Reporting Services. * Solid experience in team/enterprise source control platforms to include TFS * Experience with Developing high-level and detail design specifications * Experience with multiple versions of .Net framework in particular 4.0 or higher, SQL Server database, MS Word and MS Excel * Experience with Performing requirements gathering, analysis, and specification * A Passion for technology and knowledge OMES is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
