Position Overview

Summary:

To assist production associates as they create high performing, customer-centric flooring products. Will assist a team of approximately 5 hourly associates to achieve targets established for safety, service, quality, cost, and continuous improvement. Reports to the Wear Layer Lead.

Duties (Essential & Non-Essential)

• Follow the rules and guidelines set out in the Shaw Associate Guide

• Work safely and cooperatively with the members of your team and all Shaw associates

• Make decisions based upon what we teach you about making the best luxury vinyl tile for our customers.

• Look at stuff and see if it is right. If it isn't, fix it or find someone that can.

• Look at the order information and make sure that is what we are making.

• Make it the best quality so our customers will buy more of it.

• Watch your section of the production process and make sure it's doing what it is supposed to do.

• Help your teammates, your boss and Shaw Industries be our best.

• Dream up new ways to make our products better, our people happier and your life awesome.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have fun and treat your teammates with respect.

• Must have the ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math.

• Must be able to pass a color blindness and vision test.

• Must be familiar with current manufacturing computer systems and software.

• Must have the ability to be cross trained for other jobs.

• Must have a passion for achieving results

• Must be able to work professionally with all Shaw associates and our guests.

• Must make good, safe decisions in a timely manner.

• Must make decisions like and think like the owner of this business.

Work Shift

12 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
