Moog IDS in Orlando, FL is looking for a Weapon Systems Technician to support end-user training, US Government Customer Contract Support, Weapons Systems Training and Services, systems demonstrations, and Defense Industry trade show and exhibit support.
What you can expect day-to-day:
Integrating complex electrical, avionics, and weapon systems onto air, land and sea platforms.
Performing troubleshooting of Weapon Stores Management Systems and related wiring harnesses.
Assisting Systems and Software Engineers with systems integration and test efforts.
Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) during system demonstrations for potential customers, test events, and technical readiness reviews.
Establishing training and educational requirements for end users and technicians supporting the fielded platforms.
What you'll need to bring with you:
B.S. Degree in Engineering or in a Science and Technology field (US Military Trade School Diploma for Aircraft Avionics, Electrical, and Weapon Systems preferred).
Self-motivated and able to make logical decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong planning and organizing skills and refined interpretive, analytical, and diagnostic skills specific to systems involving electrical, mechanical, and computer interfaces.
Working knowledge and architecture familiarity with a wide variety of operating systems (DOS, Windows, PMAC) and programming languages (C++, PLC Ladder Logic). Proficiency with standard MS Office applications.
Previous hands-on/practical experience with Hellfire Missiles Systems preferred
