During the 2017 and 2018 hurricane seasons, Florida was impacted by three major hurricanes. These communities are still struggling to rebuild and recover.

There is an immense need for assistance. AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate members will partner with various long term recovery group and other organizations to assist with the recovery and rebuilding process in communities following the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. This assistance may include recruiting volunteers, management of volunteers, research for funding, applying for funding, administrative needs, call center staffing, case management data entry, event and training set up, hurricane preparedness training, credit counseling program assistance, homeownership workshop assistance, homebuyer education training assistance, etc. There are many, many ways in which you can help to make a difference in the lives of the people in the Hurricane Irma impacted areas.
