About the Job

As a Principle Consultant at Capco you will be playing a key role in the delivery of projects, working on client site to deliver large-scale change initiatives for leading clients across Financial Services, within Wealth and Insurance. Fitting that description, you will also need to be supremely personally motivated to work in a dynamic team environment.

What you'll get to do

  • Utilize expert knowledge in financial planning, including but not limited to goals-based planning, asset allocation, retirement planning, and education funding

  • Employ knowledge of the securities industry, including investment and insurance products and services, and Reg BI

  • Manage small to mid-sized projects and teams of consultants, taking oversight of delivery work and ensuring client satisfaction

  • Identify new opportunities and support sales activities to both new and existing clients

  • Manage client relationships, overseeing the implementation and quality control of projects with regards to both budget and content

  • Act as a trusted adviser to clients by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of organizations

  • Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses

Qualifications

  • 6+ years consulting experience in risk/compliance topics required

  • 4+ years of experience from a premier management consulting firm preferred

  • Experience at top-tier industry firm in wealth management, FINRA and SEC broker dealer and investment advisor regulations, including Reg BI

  • Knowledge of key issues and regulations in Financial Services Risk Management and Compliance

  • Diverse problem-solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectors

  • Outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams

  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers

  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)

The Risk and Control Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the documentation, measurement, analysis, and mitigation of operational risk, specifically support Tax, Client Reporting and Accounts Division. The specialist accomplishes this through a range of activities such as process and control documentation and testing; insuring supervisory procedures are in place; reviewing compliance with firm policies and regulatory expectations; analyzing key risk metrics; and documenting and executing remediation plans. The specialist will generally perform these risk and control framework responsibilities in collaboration with functional process owners in operational areas such as trade support, clearance and settlement, and corporate actions. Primary Responsibilities * Monitoring, assessment and testing of control activities performed by functional teams through a Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) discipline * Participation in periodic internal audits, compliance exams, and external regulatory reviews through the entire exam life-cycle * Testing and QA of RCSA controls * Periodic reviews and maintenance of control tools (e.g., system entitlements, desktop procedures, supervisory procedures and check-lists) * Remediation of risk issues, audit findings, processing inefficiencies, etc. * Definition, publication, and testing of internal policies impacting the risk and control framework * Root cause analysis on risk incidents * Fostering risk management skills through training and development of colleagues, both in the risk and control organization and the functional processing teams * Adhoc leadership of project teams Qualifications * College degree (BS or BA) preferably in accounting, economics, finance, statistics or related disciplines * Seven years minimum experience in financial services operations with at least two years in operational risk management * Hands-on experience with using quantitative (metrics) and qualitative tools (e.g., process narratives and flows, incident reports) to assess areas of risk and identify risk mitigation options * Hands-on experience applying risk management precepts such as separation of duties, information security disciplines, and supervisory reviews * Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis * Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including experience with business process documentation and preparing management reports using PowerPoint * Collaboration and teamwork skills and experience, including strong interpersonal skills Morgan Stanley New York NY
