Primary Function:

As a Client Advisor at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, you are responsible for advising families on building, preserving and managing their wealth. You will use your knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit and banking to both advise current clients on all aspects of their balance sheet and drive new client acquisition. As a Client Advisor, you are expected to:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients by earning trust, thoroughly understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing thoughtful solutions and delivering an exceptional client experience

  • Drive business results and acquire new assets, both from existing client base and new client acquisition

  • Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit and banking needs

  • Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients when needed

  • Connect your clients across all lines of business of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.

Position Requirements:

  • Six plus years of work experience; Private Banking or Financial Services industry preferred

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred

  • Series 7 & 63 licenses required for position; however, unlicensed candidates considered but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date

Oversees the business development process, identification and qualification of opportunities, and the assignment of individuals to pursuit teams, as well as broker debriefs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops strong relationships with Market Leaders and Sales Professionals to advance sales management and leverage best talent to optimize sales results. Ensures internal company sales guidelines and processes are followed and drives adoption of sales enablement technologies.. Provides management direction and coaches support staff in the use of technology tools to manage metrics and reporting related to Sales Management initiatives including local sales and market activity, pursuit lists, pipelines, follow-up reporting, and business plans. Drives the use of the Finishing First process. Partners with peer group and leadership to assist in coordination of targeted vertical pursuit strategies (e.g. MidCap, Private Equity, Healthcare, Non Profit, Law Firm, Critical Environments, etc.) within the region. Identifies, develops, shares and implements best practices related to Sales Management including identifying the universe of prospects, aligned business plans, meaningful market meetings, high quality broker debriefs, prospecting reporting, implementing pursuit protocols, proactive team formation, implementing local SPOC processes, managing inbound and outbound referrals, pursuit lists, Finishing First, pipeline reporting, adoption of technology, and cross-selling. Identifies opportunities and influences key improvements in sales management practices. Partners with leadership to implement best practices related to effective recruitment, selection, development and performance management of local sales organization. Works with leadership to perform gap analysis and maintain optimal staffing levels within the local market sales organization. Implements national training curriculum; partners with regional team to develop and implement local training curriculum. Partners with Research, Marketing and Location Intelligence. Implements local Client Care programs in partnership with Managing Director. Drives information sharing and collaboration across the enterprise. Plans, conducts and coordinates team meetings reviewing strategy, direction and goal tracking.
