Overview of Wealth Management Overview

As the Wealth Management division of Private Wealth and Commercial Clients, our focus is to deliver a boutique wealth management experience while leveraging the vast resources available as being part of a global, universal bank. We have been serving the interests of ultra high net worth individuals, families and select institutions for more than a century.

Overview of Client Onboarding Group

[The WM Americas Client Onboarding Group} is responsible for the end to end client on boarding process. The team is responsible for the review of client information and documentation. Part of the team act as case reps to drive the completion of required KYC records for new accounts and periodic reviews, which are then submitted for approval. These case reps will launch KYCs, gather information that does not require client outreach, liaise with banker teams for client information/documentation and ensure timely submission of KYCs for review and approval.

Key objectives/goals of Case reps: COG KYC Case reps are dedicated to provide high quality timely service to both internal and external clients while ensuring the bank continues to comply with all applicable internal and regulatory requirements.

Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented and analytical. He/she must be able to take data from multiple sources and apply appropriate policy framework to each situation. He/she should be able to work both independently and as part of a team and switch gears quickly to adapt to business needs in a highly charged and challenging environment

  • Previous relevant experience in onboarding, Compliance, Audit, Risk or other Regulatory Function with a proven history of project management

  • Experience with AML, KYC and BSA risk issues for Private Banks preferred

  • Prior experience with validation of tax documentation is a plus

  • Prior experience in Wealth Management is a big plus

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Creation/collection of KYC documentation (including entity corporate documentation like bylaws, corporate resolutions, etc.), information, and due diligence research for new and existing clients in consideration of temporary exceptions

  • Guiding front office sales teams in completing KYCs (answer questions on documentation, policy, etc) and timely prioritization for remediation or account opening requirements

  • Assisting with audits, escalations, and investigations on KYC issues as needed, and preparation of MIS

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of how Trusts, LLCs, Partnerships, Corporations, etc. are organized

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and time pressure for quick turnaround with a desire to go above and beyond to satisfy our clients with appropriate decision making skills

  • Knowledge of AML policies which govern banks; Know You Client policy guidelines; BSA, U.S.A. PATRIOT Act guidelines, etc.

  • Ability to reach out and work independently with cross-functional team members in a matrix and changing regulatory environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills, collaborate and work well within a team of 5-6 reps

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel a big plus (Macros, Pivots, Lookups, etc.) and Power Point, strong project management skills is a big plus too

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Legal Degree preferred/a plus

Certifications & Licenses:

  • CAMS preferred / a plus
  • FINRA 7 and 63 preferred (or willing to take exams)
