Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

Wealth Management (WM): Wealth Management business is a leading provider of financial services to high-net worth clients through Wells Fargo Private Bank, and to the affluent segment through partnerships between Wealth Brokerage Services and the Consumer Bank. In Wealth Management, clients are provided with a complete range of solutions to help them manage, preserve and transfer their wealth.

The Investment Manager 3 works with affluent clients on the fiduciary side of the business, primarily over the phone. Responsible for investment management, establishing investment objectives, overseeing implementation of applicable investment and risk management policies and procedures in a large number of agency, trust and retirement/IRA relationships. The IM will select structured investment programs and products, e.g., mutual funds, and 'target' (model) asset allocation strategies/portfolios and the creation of transition plans in alignment with our Four Asset Class approach. IM will manage larger, more complex relationships.

  • Proactively contact clients to set investment objectives, discuss various investment topics, market conditions and investment performance. Where appropriate support the client support efforts of partners.

  • Oversee implementation of investment and risk management policies and procedures within assigned book of client relationships through periodic portfolio, compliance, suitability and cash review. Complete investment portion of annual Regulation 9 review and monitor book of relationships proactively through available reports to ensure all accounts are reviewed periodically within regulatory guidelines.

  • Represent WM Portfolio Services Group in dealings with representatives from Personal and Charitable Trust, and Wealth Management groups as required. Perform related duties as required.

  • Serve as primary resource for Relationship Managers concerning general market conditions, applicable investment and risk management policies and procedures and implementation guidelines.

  • Participate in new business development, on projects and/or committees.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in securities markets/trading and/or model-based portfolio management

  • 3 + years of experience managing/servicing a high volume of affluent (high net worth) client investment portfolios/relationships

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to deliver exceptional client service

  • Professional presentation skills and demeanor

  • College Degree

  • CFA Charter or candidacy

  • Knowledgeable in use of automated asset allocation, reconciliation and trading systems, e.g., Moxy, FiServ, SEI, etc.

Relocation assistance will not be provided.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of investment experience, finance experience, or a combination of both

The analyst will be responsible for managing the analysis of high risk customers, including related KYC periodic reviews and documenting overall conclusions in a high risk customer narrative. The analyst will support the CDDO Relationship Managed Business Manager, while partnering with Senior Business Unit Risk Managers (SBURM) and Relationship Managers to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and work product is supported with robust documentation. The candidate will be responsible for escalating potentially unusual activity. This individual effectively partners, negotiates and communicates across the CDDO team, Wealth Management and Investment Services Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) teams, and EFCC EDD teams.
