We are currently seeking experienced engineers to optimize and develop fabrication processes of advanced optical components as we transition from research to production. This is a full-time position that requires Bachelor's or higher-level degree in engineering, physics, or similar, combined with significant experience in developing and implementing complex manufacturing solutions. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic cross-functional team and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Lead a team of optical designers responsible for the modeling of critical components employed in next generation near-eye displays meeting stringent size, weight, cost and performance targets
Manage the modeling and simulation engineering activities from creating capabilities, developing tools, creating designs, tolerancing designs and closing the loop from design to manufacturing
Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve all of the above
5+ years of management experience in the optics, lithography and nanofabrication field
M.S. or Ph.D in the field of Optical Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience with electromagnetic modeling and analysis of nanoscale structures, anisotropic materials, films or holographic elements
Experience in new development environment and productization of new technologies
Experience in advancing nascent technologies and solving technical problems
Experience with optical design using standard design software such as CODE V, Zemax, LightTools or FRED
Experience with multiple optical technologies in the areas such as imaging or illumination systems, light sources, thin films, polarization optics, adaptive optics or color science
Experience with developing optics for products, design of experiment methodologies and statistical data analysis methods and software (JMP, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
Leadership and communication experience
Experience in cross-functional collaboration
