This role is designed to provide you with practical exposure to HR processes, policies, and procedures while contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR team. You will work closely with HR professionals to learn and assist in administrative tasks, recruitment processes, employee relations, and other essential HR functions.PRIMARY DUTIES:
Front desk management (answering phone and email, greeting visitors, etc.)
File employee paperwork and purge files according to instructions provided
Assist with answering general questions from new hires
Processes PRAISE cards for each employee and their supervisor
Maintains Office of Human Resources bulletin board and general supplies
Assist in campus career fairs, benefits open enrollment, and campus events
Checks to make sure all forms are up to date
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be currently enrolled at Washington Adventist University as a full-time student
Must be eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program designated by Student Financial Services
Ability to stay motivated with routine work
Strong organizational skills
High attention to detail
Experience handling confidential information preferred
