Job Description

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.+ Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.+ Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.+ Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.+ Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.
• Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.+ Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 4+ years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems.+ Registered Professional Engineer
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.+ Registered Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within 6 months.+ Previous experience leading business development activities.+ Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience.

Additional Information+ This position requires travel within CT and nearby states.+ Relocation is available for this position.+ Sponsorship is available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $92,869.86 - $132,339.55.
