BELFOR is looking for qualified candidates for the following position. BELFOR team members are a unique breed, committed to restoring not only property, but restoring lives for those affected by disasters, large or small.
Water Damage Specialist development at the intermediate level has four (4) objectives: 1) Team Leader of water damage crew servicing residential and small commercial losses; 2) knowledge and technical proficiency in IICRC water and mold damage standard work practices; 3) competency in use, care, and maintenance of water extraction equipment, portable drying equipment, and moisture detection instruments; and 4) proficiency scoping, sizing and moisture mapping, and documenting water losses. Intermediates assist with the development of basic level technicians and they assist advanced technicians on large or complex projects. Intermediates on CAT duty may simultaneously manage multiple water losses including organizing and directing temporary laborers. In order to qualify for this position, you must have 12 months previous BELFOR experience at the Water Damage Basic Level -- or equitable industry standard experience, as well as direct involvement in 25 (minimum) water damage projects. This position is the level 3 in the Progressive Water Damage track.
Must be able to take direction from Supervisor
Direct teams on use of proper PPE for the job
Review daily requirements of the projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges
Provide appropriate field documentation, photo logs, graphs and sketches for various TPA projects
Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Must maintain attention to detail
Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested and?? travel periodically
Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
Supervise and self-perform Water Damage Basic tasks
Gather pictures in a color palette, and black & palette to download to job files
Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks related to Debris removal; Containment/Drying Chambers; Wall Cavity Drying; Pump System Knowledge; Carpet seam cutting -- cushion removal; Baseboard Removal
Properly identify Class 4 material, moisture measurements, and deploy most effective technique to dry/restore the material
Evaluate integrity of affected structural materials and contents for direct and indirect water damage; accurately assess the cost of restoring vs cost of replacement.
Create moisture maps using tools and knowledge provided
Supervise small crews on above tasks
