Responsible and accountable for operating the Site Water Systems in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) required by the water systems maintenance function. Maintain the operation within all relevant environmental conditions to sustain a safe operation, competitive compliance and regulatory excellence while minimizing disruptions to manufacturing areas. This position's incumbent must also comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations required during the performance of the function.
1.Monitors water system for proper distribution, consumption and operational levels.
2.Monitors equipment conditions and immediately report abnormal conditions to supervisor and/or take appropriate action such as contact Maintenance resources, work orders generation, instruments calibration or unit shutdown.
3.Analyzes problems, executes initial troubleshooting on area equipment like pH electrodes, filters, gaskets, gauges, lines, pumps and other ancillary equipment related to operational parameter variances and requests corrective maintenance assistance on repairs out of the operator's scope of work.
4.Ensures that site water equipment's are properly operated and maintained.
5.Works with the Corrective Maintenance crew on equipment repairs, installation and/or preventive activities as needed.
6.Collects samples from manufacturing building water points of use and performs water quality analysis for purified water system following the established route for the shifts.
7.Completes all required recordkeeping and documentation in compliance with cGMP practices, SOP's and company policies per shift.
8.Verifies, on a daily basis, the calibrations of all water analysis instruments using Utilities lab and water systems equipment.
9.Participates and supports the problem-solving teams to ensure proper operation of water systems.
Supports the planning and scheduling of site water system sanitization during plant shutdowns and/or scheduled periodic system interventions.
Performs minor repairs and filters replacements from site water equipment.
Reports any potential of non-compliance issues.
Knowledge and Skill:
Associate Degree (Chemistry, Mechanical or Instrumentation) from credited college.
Three (3) years of experience in water systems.
Must have knowledge in laboratory analysis and basic instrumentation.
Knowledge in GMP.
Demonstrated self-started, organized and teams oriented skills.
Ability to detect, diagnose and evaluate challenging situations.
Ability to develop oral and written communication.
