Water Spider and Forklift Team Leader Summary: The Water Spider and Forklift Team leader ensures the movement of product and parts throughout the assembly area, warehouses and storage areas. They are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient use of forklifts, lead the team of water spiders and forklift operators, and maintain a high level of productivity.

Water Spider and Forklift Team Leader Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead Team Members: Lead and oversee the activities of water spiders, forklift operators, and flatbed drivers.

• Monitor Parts Status: Regularly check the availability and status of parts required to meet production schedules.

• Coordinate with Planners: Stay updated on planner activities, including schedule adjustments due to part shortages, chassis arrivals, and specific customer truck sales needs.

Water Spider and Forklift Team Leader Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:

• Forklift certified (preferred)

• Intermediate computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

• Willing to learn and accept direction

• Excellent written and oral skills

• Able to work in a TEAM setting

• Strong work ethic

• Excellent organizational skills

• 2-5 years leading a team or overseeing team members

• High School diploma or GED

• Manufacturing experience, preferred in automotive industry

Water Spider and Forklift Team Leader Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

• Must be able to communicate clearly

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

• Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing work environment that has frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise intensity level, proximity to moving mechanical parts and exposure to weather. Light to Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic, and manufacturing noise from adjoining wall plant)

Ability to sit at a computer station for an extended period.
