Hospital Water Sales Specialist
The purpose of this position is to gain sales expertise and to drive sales of water filtration in the Eastern US Hospital market. Water is fastest growing and most profitable business unit for the US Hospital market and we need to add additional expertise to continue growth and address competitive situations for these opportunities. With the Americas Hospital Water Sales Manager and other current water sales specialists, who have extensive experience, we need to add this knowledge in the Eastern part of the US. We need this additional water experience to continue driving growth in this highly profitable business unit. The purpose of this position is to achieve short and long term strategic objectives for Water filtration sales and profit in the US Hospital market.
Leading the sales process & Pall Key Account Manager's to gain commitment for new water business
Working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL's) and consultants to build national support for POU filters
Leading Point of Entry filtration initiative in the Eastern US region and opportunities for design, build, etc.
Technical assistance with conversions and post conversion technical follow up where needed
Take initiative for new opportunities, finding solutions to specific technical issues in the field working with the V.P. of Sales and the Americas Water Sales Manager on strategy
Prioritizing which sales opportunities are most important and where to spend time prospecting and closing new business.
Gain commitment to long term service contracts from purchase orders
Bring awareness of the risk associated with hospital water for the hospital units we are focused.
Present the peer reviewed data supporting Pall filtration and build relations for long term use and clinical study where possible.
Form strong relationships based on market data of microbial water filtration so that the KOL's recommends this technology based solely on its technological results
60% travel within the territory
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Life Sciences
5 years of related experience in water treatment products, including filtration or chemical solutions.
At least 1 year of related experience working in infection prevention/water safety industry.
5 years of experience selling water treatment products, including filtration or chemical solutions
Knowledge of water treatment issues specific to the Western US region.
Familiarity with biofilm, waterborne pathogens, and potable water systems preferred.
Membership with ASHE (Am Soc. Healthcare Engineers) and/or ASHRAE (Am. Soc. Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers as well as APIC ( Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) preferred
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience and success with conceptual selling of new products to the market is needed.
Knowledge and ability to lead and control a long water filtration system sales process to a successful conclusion.
Experience managing end-user customer contact information in databases defined by target customer segments.
Experience in public speaking and presentation skills for group presentations and speaking at society meetings.
Ability to build relationships with leaders in the industry (Key Opinion Leaders and consultants).
Experience building relationships with different groups and levels within hospitals from Infection Preventionists, Hospital Engineers, Medical Directors, Risk Managers, to CEO's of hospitals.
