As an Environmental/Water Resources Geologist/Hydrogeologist, you'll have a chance to help restore environmentally impaired sites for federal and commercial clients on the west coast. Working with other members of the team, you'll support projects aimed at developing and improving hydrogeology studies, site characterization, water resources management, and water-supply reliability for a variety of public and private-sector clients, including working on SGMA-related projects throughout the State. During your time with us, you will support the current project managers in preparing for field activities, writing reports including remedial investigation reports. You'll perform analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, or other sources to support site characterization efforts, and will perform quantitative modeling using analytical and numerical methods and data visualization. You will complete technical writing with peer review and present data and evaluations in a clear and concise manner as well as contribute to the development of regulatory reporting technical documents (work plans, environmental investigation reports and remedial designs. BS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of DoD environmental consulting experience, and/or water resources experience.
Experience with implementing and conducting environmental investigations and or remediation, and/or conducting water supply well installations.
Familiarity with California state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of CERCLA regulatory processes.
HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
MS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science or a closely related field.
Professional certification (PE, PG, PMP)
Someone already in the Southern California area is preferred
Excellent team building skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Specific training, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop, review, and implement various work plans and quality assurance project plans.
