This class is responsible for supervising lower staff, overseeing multiple teams of workers, inspecting work, developing plans, and performing related administrative work.. Responsibilities will include the coordination and prioritization of work orders to ensure repairs are scheduled efficiently. The position will also oversee the work of outside contractors who may be on-site at a DWR facility to perform repair work outside the scope of in-house crews. .
This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace.
The grade for this position is B32(3) with a starting salary of $48,792.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a supervisory position in industrial equipment maintenance. A complete understanding of the functions of Facilities Maintenance and preventative maintenance ofwater or wastewater treatment plant equipment.The completion of a training program or apprenticeship in the mechanical or electrical trades,experience in the repair of water or wastewater treatment plant equipment, or a related field, a basic understanding electrical safety in an industrial plant, and experience in planning and scheduling work in addition to experience working with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS):

Effectively and efficiently plan, organize, and direct/oversee the work of personnel.
Principles of supervision and performance measurements.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D.;
Six years of related work experience, including two years of supervisory experience;
Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
Valid Driver's License from state of residency.
Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (must be attached to application for consideration);
