Support senior engineers by performing specific and limited portions of their more broad assignments.
Provide support for study and design projects including collection, conveyance, pumping, treatment and distribution systems and environmental compliance for municipal, county, state, aviation, industrial, and private entities.
Perform stormwater modeling, design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work.
Assist in the design and production of engineering drawings and specifications for delivery of projects.
Check, interpret and revise engineering drawings. Plan and conduct code research. Research design options and document findings. Coordinate with other disciplines.
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or like degree is required.
0 to 3 years' experience in environmental/water resources engineering consulting for local government/municipal or industrial clients.
Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire with intent to obtain Professional Engineering licensure in the State of Tennessee when eligible.
Understanding of environmental regulations and potential application to clients' needs required.
Experience with stormwater modeling, CAD, and GIS.
Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports.
