Position Purpose:

Maintain all water features of the water park in a safe and sanitary condition.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Test all areas of the water for chlorine and pH levels and record results every hour.

  • Close or shutdown any features for safety and/or emergency situations.

  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment in and around water activity areas which include:

  • Pre-opening cleaning of pools and surrounding areas each day.

  • End of day cleanup in all areas of the Water Park.

  • Maintaining cleanliness of walkways, pool decks and landscape areas.

  • Management of bio-spills.

  • Repair startup and shutdown dependent upon work schedule.

  • Repair/maintenance of all rides and features during operating as well as non-operating seasons.

  • Adheres to guest-first standards at all times.

  • Other duties assigned.

Other Functions:

Must be at least 18 years old and possess valid Texas Driver's license.

Errors in performance may result in sub-par cleanliness in area responsibility, failure to fulfill role as a first responder. Other errors in judgement may result in own injury and possibly guest injury.

Continuous contact with guests and other team members.

Rarely exposed to confidential data.

Visual and Mental Demand

Requires normal visual and mental demand. Cannot be colorblind due to the tests run on the water.

Physical Demand

Requires continuous standing, walking, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, speech, and stepping up/down. Requires sitting, crawling, working in difficult positions, pushing, pulling or BI-manual dexterity. Required carrying and lifting to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

Continuously works outside and closely outside and closely with others. Frequently works in excessive heat/cold is exposed to noise/vibrations, and chemicals/solvents/cleaners/detergents. Occasionally works alone is exposed to dust/dirt, and water. Sometimes is exposed to excessive humidity/dampness and occasionally walks on uneven surfaces. Rarely works inside.
