LCRA's Water Quality Protection team is looking for a multifaceted manager with strong technical capabilities to lead the Water Quality Engineering & Planning program. The program implements water quality protection ordinances through comprehensive plan reviews and inspections for new developments and dredging projects in the Highland Lakes region. This position plays a meaningful role in protecting the water supply for more than a million people. You will be trusted to:
Lead and direct a team of specialists dedicated to protecting water quality
Provide expert-level mentorship on technical requirements of LCRA's watershed and dredging ordinances to staff and customers
Implement a technical review process that ensures projects achieve compliance with LCRA rules and are permitted in a timely manner
Implement a robust stormwater and water quality Best Management Practice inspection program
Coordinate LCRA's dredging program in the Highland Lakes
Ensure WQEP staff investigate and address complaints about stormwater compliance issues
Collaborate and interact with cities, counties, and other governmental jurisdictions on stormwater management and permitting issues
You qualify with:
Twelve or more years of experience in water quality analysis, monitoring, public outreach, program management, or other relevant experience, including three or more years of supervisory experience. A degree(s) in engineering, science, environmental management, water resource management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver's license
