Position Summary:

The Water Mitigation Unit (WMU) Reviewer is primarily responsible for the review, negotiation and resolution of Emergency Services estimates, invoices, and other related activities. Several WMU Specialist roles will be rotational positions.

Essential Job Functions:

Procures, reviews, and resolves Emergency Services billing, invoices, estimates, or other items to ensure scope and charges settled are reasonable and accurate.

Communicates and maintains constructive resolution efforts with Emergency Services vendors regarding any billing concerns identified using evaluation tools and skills to attempt to reach timely and reasonable agreement and resolution.

Completes timely resolution of Emergency Services billing, including settlement of resolved invoices.

Assists with branch, Subrogation, QA, Legal, and/or training department regarding Emergency Services billing, communications, or customer relations issues or inquiries.

Assist with monitoring and resolution of claim files containing open legal proceedings regarding exposure related to the Emergency Services invoice.

Other functions may be assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • IICRC certification WTR (Water Restoration Technician) and ASD (Applied Structural Drying) preferred or will be provided

  • Hold, or be able to obtain, state Property Adjuster P&C Licenses including, but not limited to, the following states: GA, OK, and TX.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of directly related Emergency Services experience or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Property Field II or Examiner II claim handler or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires the analytical ability necessary to analyze, evaluate, and act upon relevant information essential in Emergency Services mitigation resolution.

  • Requires critical attention to detail and good organization skills with strong technical ability to make complex, accurate assessments of damage and appropriate mitigation response.

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to communicate professionally at all levels internally and externally.

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft programs is preferred (Teams, Access, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Strong technical skill with Xactware, Core Logic or other industry specific estimating software products and systems preferred.
