The City of Henderson is excited to announce an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems Manager in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
The Department of Utility Services provides vital water and wastewater services to our citizens while protecting the environment, health and prosperity of our community. Under limited supervision, plans, organizes, manages, and directs the maintenance and repair activities of the City's subsurface potable and reclaimed water distribution systems and subsurface wastewater collection system, including all utility location for all subsurface City assets; and performs related duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits
Competitive Salary Range of $100,297.22 - $150,445.82 annually; salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity*
Base Wage increase upon successful completion of Initial Probationary or Qualifying Period

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degreefrom an accredited college or universityin Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in themaintenance and repair of a large, multi-facility utility, water distribution system, wastewater collection systems, water treatment facility, wastewater treatment facility, water or environmental quality, wastewater treatment facility management, or water and reclaimed water distribution systems; three (3) years of which were at a supervisory or management level
Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
Must possess, at time of application:*
State of Nevada Water Distribution Operator Grade III Certificate
Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) Collection System Operator Grade II Certificate
Must obtain within eighteen (18) months from date of hire and maintain:*
State of Nevada Water Distribution Operator Grade IV Certificate
Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) Collection System Operator Grade III Certificate
Employee will be expected to complete assigned training courses through the City of Henderson's learning management system
All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by state and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained at incumbent's expense
Employee must maintain certificates and licenses for the position in good standing as a condition of continued employment
Desirable: NASSCO's Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP) and/or Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP)Desirable: OSHA 30-hour CertificationDesirable: Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Certification
