Wastewater/Lab Treatment Technician

PPS is seeking an experienced Wastewater/Lab Treatment Technician for our state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion facility in Phoenix! You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards, as well as provide Mechanical Testing of extruded material in accordance with customer requirements and to the Aluminum Standards Association guidelines. This is a full-time, permanent, DIRECT HIRE position with excellent benefits and a high ceiling for growth!   

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyzing water quality
• Manage chemical treatment processes
• Maintain accurate records
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment system
• Support lab testing related to wastewater and environmental samples
• Operate tensile testing equipment safely and accurately to ensure product meets customer requirements
• Provide conformity guidance and training
• Understand and train measuring techniques to adhere to tolerances
• Assist in leadership and support of Quality Management System and understand and maintain ISO requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Minimum of 2 years aluminum experience
• Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong basic math skills
• Experience in chemistry preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
