This position is tasked with writing and coordinating the issuance of industrial and municipal Wisconsin Pollution Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permits in Water District South East (Southeast Region) consistent with the Clean Water Act. This position will also coordinate facility Capacity, Management, Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) program implementation, and pollutant source reduction implementation. The goal of this position is to protect human and environmental health and welfare by designing permits and permit modifications that control the discharge of pollutants, establish and maintain surface water quality capable of supporting recreation, fish and aquatic life, protect groundwater quality and achieve compliance with national and state water quality standards.

Minimally qualified candidates will have training, education and/or experience with:
Water quality protection or water resources management
Hydrology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, ecology or similar physical or life science
Well-qualified candidates will have training and/or experience with:
Regulatory permitting programs, for example the Wisconsin Pollution Discharge Elimination System (WPDES)
