SUMMARY
Incumbents serve as a lead to staff and perform skilled level work in the operation of water reclamation facilities (including Bio solids handling), reclaimed water systems, and recharge basins and wells. Incumbents are responsible for complying with regulations and permit conditions. Incumbents control treatment processes, perform troubleshooting activities, act as a technical resource to others, provide training, manage inventory, keep regulatory records, and use a computerized maintenance management system.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and three years of specialized plant operations experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess at time of hire a valid Arizona driver license and have an Arizona State Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment Certification and Grade 1 Wastewater Collections Certification.
