We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused water/wastewater design engineer in San Diego to support our regional team. As a Wastewater Engineer based out of our San Diego, California office, we'll expect you to work with our global water reuse team on cutting-edge research, optimization, and design projects. Help lead clients to the correct treatment approach by utilizing desktop calculations, bench analysis, pilot plant operation, process modeling, and full-scale operational troubleshooting.

You'll have the opportunity to work with conventional and advanced treatment processes, including liquids treatment, side-stream treatment, residuals management, and other treatment processes. You'll work on front-end studies and alternative analyses to select the best treatment approach to solve a client's problem as well as work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that you are leading and developing long-term client relationships. You'll have the opportunity to work with our senior technologists who are experts in the industry and work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful design of water treatment facilities.

As a cornerstone of our team, you're input and experience will be part of our overall business development efforts and contribute in the pursuit of new projects as well as promoting team building and mentoring of younger engineers. Here's what you'll need: • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline• 5 year's work experience in relevant water treatment and process engineering Ideally, You'll Also Have: • Masters degree or PhD in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or other related engineering discipline• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. As a modified full-time employee, we'll give you the flexibility to work anywhere between 21-39 hours per week. Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan.

Employees in a modified full-time status will receive PTO based upon number of hours worked. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $143,750.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
