This position is responsible for controlling treatment plants machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for permitted industrial uses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of water into treatment plant.

  • Collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities.

  • Perform all scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations of water treatment equipment.

  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of client data such as residual content of chemicals, water turbidity, and water pressure.

  • Comply with all client safety parameters.

  • May be responsible for compiling data for Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Coordinate with other operators throughout customer plant in order to maintain the plants water treatment equipment.

  • Consult with customers in the operations of their wastewater plant to determine the best treatment for their wastewater.

  • Coordinate with Veolia's purchasing department to order wastewater treatment supplies, such as equipment and chemicals, in order to maintain the client's wastewater treatment equipment.

  • Compile data for monthly operating report to in house management and client management.

  • Responsible for training client's personnel in the proper operating procedures for wastewater treatment equipment.

  • Troubleshoot problems within client's wastewater treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.

  • Advise client on the appropriate methods for hazardous waste spill clean ups, recycle programs, energy savings programs, and water usage reduction.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be proficient with MS Office.

  • 3 - 5 years of related work experience.

Position Summary The primary function of this position is to safely operate various manufacturing or packaging equipment within established productivity and quality standards. Accountabilities * Able to do work by hand that is repetitive, fast-paced and continuous. * Ability to maintain the pace of production while demonstrating a high level of accuracy * Ability to meet production quotas * Attention to detail and quality * Able to maintain a consistently reliable attendance record * Be a self-starter - demonstrate initiative to identify and apply solutions to remove roadblocks * Demonstrate ownership and willingness to continuously improve self and area of accountability * Follow all safety standards at all times Specific Accountabilities * Operate manufacturing or packaging equipment efficiently to meet productivity expectations * Perform quality checks and record data as required * Make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards * Maintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping of work areas * Recognize continuous improvement opportunities to processes and work environment to improve safety, quality and productivity * May also perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience * At least 2 years of production/manufacturing operations experience * Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to 8 Hours of standing, bending and/or lifting (up to 50 pounds) * Must have good verbal and written communication skills * Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Ability work in a team environment as well as work independently * High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills and Experience * Associate or Technical degree * Ability to operate a forklift * Previous Plant/Warehouse, Packaging, Manufacturing experience preferred Working Relationships & Environment * Must be able to work both individually and as a team member * Good communication skills with team members and management * Will report directly to department supervisor * Full-time position, 40-hour work week * Second shift is Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. * Alternative shifts and/or overtime may be required. * Exposure to certain fragrances and/or chemicals may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment Energizer Holdings, Inc.
