About the role
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Wash Pad Technician provides labor support to ensure that rolling stock and equipment is clean and ready to be dispatched.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures Health and Safety are number one by acting in safe and responsible manner.
Performs DOT cargo tanker inspections
Cleaning interior and exterior of equipment including fleet vehicles and eqipment
Performs Confined Space Entry into tankers and other equipment that may contain various amounts of hazardous waste for the purpose of cleaning for required for change of container, change of service, residuals due to equipment failures cleaning or inspection
Responsible for labeling, storage and separation of waste in cleaning process.
Report any incidents.
Qualifications: (what is required for someone to be successful in the position)
Work with hazardous waste preferred
Confined space trained preferred
High attention to detail
Hazwopper certification or able to complete
Physical Demands:
Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping and reaching
Ability to drag and connect hoses of various sizes
Ability to wear an air supplied full-face respirator for prolonged periods of time in
confined spaces
Requires lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs
Able to work in confined space
Able to work indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions.
