Job Type: 2 Part-time openings; Non-exempt
Schedule: Wed-Sat 2:30-10:30pm
Pay Rate: $26.01/hour
Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA

POSITION SUMMARY
Answer Warm Line calls
Answer calls with Warm Line Apprentice's and/or peer phone workers listening in and de-brief the call with them reflecting Warm Line Training Materials, Warm Line and Crisis Connections' culture, policies and procedures.
Work one to four shifts per week as the Shift Mentor
Acclimate new Warm Line Phone Workers during their apprentice period through support, guidance and debriefing
Help debrief calls with all peers on shift
Quality assurance review of evening calls for review by Specialist and Manager
Meet every 2 weeks with the Warm Line Specialist and/or Warm Line Manager to check in and debrief role as a mentor and discuss options
Participate in Warm Line trainings and attend Warm Line Peer Advisory Board meetings
Recruit potential volunteers for the Warm Line including inviting them to Information Sessions
Identify, refer, and help train volunteers to be Apprentice Peers and Warm Line Shift Mentors
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Demonstrate knowledge of Recovery Principles
Be advanced in own personal recovery
Certified Peer Counselor OR ability to acquire within 12 months of hire.
A minimum of 1 year (including 200 hours experience serving as a phone worker on the Warm Line OR 200 hours of volunteer phone worker experience on another phone line at Crisis Connections OR 2 years of full-time work as a Certified Peer Counselor (references required).
Successfully act as a Warm Line Apprentice Peer during at least one training period. (Can be completed post hire).
Completion of Mentor Training provided by Crisis Connections. (Can be completed post hire).
Minimum of 21 years of age
Working Conditions: Individuals in this position should be able to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time. Individuals will need to be able to wear a headset or earphones as they take calls and attend meetings. Individuals will need to manage several IT/software platforms at once and be able to function in an environment with moderate noise and distraction.

Requirements
Computer Skills Assessment: Crisis Connections requires a basic Computer Skills assessment to measure computer literacy and skills. The assessment is approximately 15 minutes in length, and timed. HR will provide a link to complete the test after screening qualified candidates.
