Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of a Warehouse Manager I, the Warehouse Worker performs journeyperson work in the receipt, storage, inventory, and issue of materials; uses powered or non-powered materials handling equipment as necessary; and may do other related work. The warehouse worker loads and unloads trucks or other common carriers and transports material to specified destinations and assists in receiving, unpacking, and checking of incoming materials against invoices, bills of lading, or packing slips to verify items and quantities received; palletizes, moves materials, stocks and restocks shelves, bins; pulls equipment from shelves, completes shipping and inventory records documents, assembles goods in preparation of shipping; keeps floors and storage areas clean and orderly, and occasionally operates a motor vehicle.

Working Conditions

This position requires the operation of powered and non-powered materials handling equipment (forklifts, pallets jacks, and Raymond swing-reach) and departmental computer for daily operations and communications. Days off are Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
