Warehouse Worker (Inserter)

Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the inserting process for our publications is completed on a daily basis. Most positions are entry level; some require additional skills. The schedule for this position is Tuesday- Saturday 3pm-11:30pm.

What you will do:

• Hand inserting fee standing inserts into the inserting machine

• Use of the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets, pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse, and a "jogging" table aligning all inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket

• Work on the binder machine to load signatures

• Loading mail pieces into the mail machine and gathering address pieces off the conveyor

• Responsible for the daily clean up of the mailroom

• Some positions responsible for shipping/receiving materials and use computer software to manage shipping materials

What you will bring:

• Must be a team player, with ability to follow supervisor directions

• Good communication skills

• Positive, energetic personality

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Previous warehouse, material handling, forklift and/or computer program use preferred, but not necessary

Work Environment:

• Job is based in a warehouse environment with associated machinery noise, forklift operations

• Routine use of machinery (inserting machines/stackers/binder)

• Depending on job, some use of standard office equipment such as computers and phones

The hourly wage is $16.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
