  • Unload soiled product from trucks

  • Separate product by type

  • Counting of flatgood products

  • Reductions Modifications to the customers account (either adding or removing product)

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High school education and/or equivalent experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate verbally with supervisor.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using American standard units in weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Physical Skills:

Some individual jobs may require heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and pushing of heavy carts.

Required Skills Work in a teamwork environment in a distribution warehouse to meet all safety, quality, housekeeping and distribution goals. The Logistics Technician is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. * Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas. * Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances. * Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. * Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards. * Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck or other power equipment. * Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. * Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards. * Participate in monthly inventory counts. * Perform housekeeping duties. * Participate in logistics-related project teams. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience * Able to lift up to 50 lbs. * Forklift experience. * Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, standing or sitting for extended periods of time. * Detail-oriented. * Demonstrated multitasking skills and ability to organize. * Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * Experience in a warehouse/factory environment. * Must be able to work in team environment and communicate well with others. * Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
