Job Summary

A Warehouse Technician is responsible for the daily shipment of product to the company's customers, receipt of incoming material and supplies, delivery of materials and supplies to production areas, and maintenance of the warehouse.

Key Duties

Process daily shipments according to established procedures.
Process daily receipts of material, supplies and equipment according to established procedures.
Distribute and deliver supplies and materials to production areas according to established procedures.
Performs scheduled cycle counts and audits
Maintains clear, concise, and detailed records of all counting activities
Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
Maintain and organize raw materials and finished goods inventory locations
Monitor supply levels and assist with physical inventories.
Perform additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications

Associates degree in logistics or 5 years related work experience.
Minimum of 3 years warehouse/logistics experience
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be detail oriented.
Basic computer knowledge required. AS/400 and MAPICS experience preferred.
Ability to meet shipping deadlines with minimal supervision.
Experience with Hazmat and MSDS documents.
IATA Certification or ability to attain certification within a reasonable time frame.

The Role In this position, you will be a key member of our Supply Chain Solutions team. The supply chain solutions team coordinates complex projects for our customers a/v, electrical, wire&cable, and technical orders. You can expect to do things like; building server cabinets, IP addressing camera's, programming smart TV's, kitting data cable coils, sorting customer kits, building customer supply chain orders, etc. This team is responsible for many IT, IoT, AV, and non-technical projects. This position, based within our warehouse, will primarily act as a technical expert for all things AV, IT, and mechanical. You will be performing many of the above duties, plus any other new solution that comes along. You may join our maintenance team from time-to-time to help with building maintenance, or possible even help carryout orders in the warehouse. This role will likely have some level of project coordination as well. The Local Project Coordinator helps to manage the flow of projects by tracking the accuracy of tasks being performed, maintaining project supplies, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring scope of work is being followed. You will partner with Project Managers and Sales to understand scope of project within the warehouse and the technical requirements for the project. This is a hands on position, so you will also be IP addressing cameras, using Excel and Access to (power user) to verify project information, verify inventory, building out projects on the floor, picking materials, and quality checking projects before they leave the facility. Other responsibilities may include; answering emails from sales or PM's and researching inquiries; kitting projects; building server cabinets; coordinating flow of projects; researching issues with orders; entering order and inventory information into our warehouse management system; filling in for group leads who take time off; etc. (note: this is not an exhaustive list of duties, it is meant to give you an idea of what to expect in this job). When work in this department slows down, you will be asked to complete warehouse based tasks, so being comfortable picking, packing, shipping, cutting wire&cable, and operating a forklift are essential for this role. This is a partial list of duties intended to give you an idea of what the position will be. More or less duties may be assigned based on the demand of the business, and the role is subject to change. To Be Successful * You are fast paced, hands-on, and have an extreme attention to detail. * Must have strong technical understanding: familiar with AV components, computer program installs, blueprint reading, etc. * Must have strong mechanical aptitude: reading blueprints, understanding technical specifications, building components using power and hand tools, etc. * You are flexible, able to switch priories on demand and without issues. * Are knowledgeable of computers and software programs. * Have the ability to research products through inventory systems. * Understanding of warehouse functions, warehouse computer systems and processes. * Have a high sense of urgency and balanced approach with good time management of warehouse activities. * Must have good written skills with documentation of processes and instructions. * Are versatile: you are open to project demands. * Have a personable and effective teaching style. * Have professionalism with customer, sales and warehouse personnel. * Are safety conscious. What It Takes To Be Successful In This Role (Qualifications): * At least 1 year prior work experience in a warehouse lead role; preferably in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment. * Experience operating forklifts is required. * Demonstrated math, counting, reading and writing skills. * Demonstrated computer, warehouse management system, inventory system, and Microsoft programs experience is required. Physical Demands * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift. * Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day).
