Purpose of Job:

Accurately and efficiently complete assigned tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts) WMS tools, and other shipping applications. Serve as back-up for Hot Shot delivery drivers.

Job Components:

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)

• Handle product per the warehouse standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)

• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)

• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)

• Serve as back-up for Hot Shot and Route Delivery drivers.

• Other warehouse duties as assigned by management,

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Strong basic math skills

• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next.

• Excellent communication skills

• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment.

• Previous customer-facing experience desirable

• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Sense of urgency and well organized

• Cooperative team like attitude

• Able to work overtime if requested.

• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer criminal background check and drug test prior to beginning work.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse distributor environment may be subject to temperature extremes, dust, fumes and battery acid

• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs. (team lift where appropriate)

• Repetitive lifting

• Consistent walking

• Standing or walking for two-hour intervals

• Repetitive taping of boxes
