Your responsibilities SUMMARY: The warehouse supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely warehouse operations. These operations include receiving, storage, supplying production lines, shipping, cycle counting inventory, and warehouse facility (space) management. Achieved with documented procedures and work instructions, management and leadership of people and resources. Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:
  • Document, review and update procedures, work instructions and formats in order to establish a reliable and systematic process in every step of the department functions

  • Responsible to establish and maintain a robust process for the receipt of materials, where the MRP system is always accurate with the physical quantities received. This process needs to take into account and trigger actions when there are deviations like quantity discrepancies, damaged packaging, receipts with wrong packaging instructions, etc.

  • Responsible to insure the proper location of the materials in the physical warehouse racks, and into the warehouse management system, following FIFO rules and taking care of all safety precautions involved in the operation

  • Responsible for the outbound process of the JIS deliveries, in time and sequence, taking care that the good conditions of the finish good racks and materials are maintained during the operation.

  • Responsible to show, maintain and communicate 5's procedures along all logistic personnel. Keeping areas layout, identified, clean and organized

  • Responsible to monitor that all necessary safety procedures and checklists are being taking care during all processes, and inform and attend whenever there is a risk. Ensure OSHA compliance and investigation of safety topics creating action plans and continuous improvements

  • Responsible to promptly monitor and track all necessary special material movements (inbound and outbound) like scrap, material returns, special deliveries, service parts, damaged materials. Keeping this processes documented and reflected in the MRP accordingly in order to immediately reflect always the real physical status of the materials in the system

  • Responsible to monitor the returnable packaging inventories, create invoices or pro-formas for the outbound delivery of packaging and maintaining controls to avoid any losses

  • Responsible to control and maintain budgeted costs in the operations

  • Responsible to keep and monitor specific KPIs in the department, update the SQDC Board, creating action plans whenever the KPIs are outside target

  • Responsible to keep a cyclic count program in schedule to be able to reach accuracy levels of 99%

  • Responsible to request and manage necessary resources and appliances needed for the daily operation

  • Support and planning of physical Inventory in the amount needed and requested by Management

  • Responsible to track the status changes for the JIS process in SAP to maintain correct inventories in the system

  • Receipt of MRO components and deliver to internal customers

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead, conduct as example, train, and supervise employees on the dock, warehouse, material handling and shipping

  • Manage time sheets, canvass, and PTO to ensure the correct amount of people are available at any time

  • Update skill matrices, propose and follow up training plans

  • Conduct disciplinary actions when needed. Conduct terminations when applicable

Education and/or Experience: Minimum education requirement:

  • Minimum education requirement: GED or High School Diploma (Associate Degree or higher preferred)

  • Minimum 1-2 Years' experience in manufacturing

  • Ability to lead a team

Willing to learn Technical and administrative skills:

  • MTM knowledge

  • Managing ability and skills to analyze problems.

  • Training material handlers and guiding operators.

  • Knowledge in Quality System such as ISO TS 16949, OHSAS

  • Six sigma Green belt

  • Lean tools

  • Working experience in a ISO/IATF environment

Computer and Technology

Skills:
Use of Microsoft Office Suites software in a windows operating system. Especially proficient in excel with formulas, subtotals, pivot tables. Other Computer skills & software for position: MRP SAP MM, WM.

VIEW JOBS 4/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-20T00:00 RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Support position has the responsibility of assisting in the shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as directed. AUTHORITY: Works in conjunction with the transfer process and the Shipping Supervisor with regard to loading, unloading, put-away, scanning, collecting damaged product, layout compliance, wrapping, unloading floor loaded containers, stacking, labeling and all other related activities as they pertain to both finished and raw materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Assist in performing the shipping and receiving operation in a consistent manner as instructed in the training program. In conjunction with this, the Warehouse Support role has the responsibility to maintain the procedures concerning operation unless the training program is changed and properly recorded concerning procedure. 2. Load and unload trailers and containers, seeing that they are first properly locked and chocked. 3. Assist in the loading and unload of finished goods, raw materials, and purchased products, with the use of stand up forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and conveyers. 4. Ensure production or receiving scan is completed on all finished goods prior to put-away. 5. Restack pallets that have fallen in the warehouse and in the transfer process. 6. Communicate using email and phone calls with fellow SCT team members. 7. Unload all deliveries or shipments from outside vendors. Inspect quality, quantity and condition of all shipments and record on paperwork. 8. Backfill forward pick locations when inventory becomes low. 9. Keep the work area clean and orderly, including articles that fall outside in the daily loading and unloading. 10. Perform daily forklift checklist and routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning equipment with an air hose. 11. Report any mechanical problems with your forklift or any safety hazards in the performance of your duties. 12. Maintain order in the warehouse storage areas in the performance of your duties. Allow only one partial pallet per item and store all like items in the same aisle or adjoining aisles. 13. Adjust to and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation. 14. Be a Certified Forklift operator in accordance with OSHA 1910-178(l), and carry a copy of your certification with you. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. This employee must be safety minded, able and willing to understand and follow all written and oral instructions and comply with policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Handbook. 2. Regular attendance and reporting for work on time are necessary requirements. 3. Availability for overtime work. 4. Attendance at training sessions when offered will be required. 5. Saturday work may be required. Working on another shift may be required. 6. Must be conscientious and willing to assume responsibility. 7. Must be able to use general mathematics.
