Provide direct oversight over all Testing & Charging operations, including receiving, testing, shipping and inventory management.
o Provide daily oversight to the activities and overall environment of the Testing and Charging Operations Team Members.
o Drive continuous improvement across all Testing and Charging processes to ensure operational excellence in repair, receiving, shipping, reconditioning, and inventory.
o Regularly evaluate each Team Member to provide positive and constructive feedback, assisting in goal setting and achievement, and personal development.
o Maintain functional knowledge of all processes to support onboarding, cross-training and skill development.
o Ability to quickly gain a subject matter expert knowledge level of current systems and applications to support program tasks, and to identify, create and communicate appropriate metrics and optics at the Team Member and aggregated levels.
o Provide product and component forecasting, and interface with appropriate personnel to determine and maintain adequate program stock/inventory levels.
o Strategically identify areas for process improvement and efficiency, accuracy and cost savings.
o Serve as an on-site contact for escalated issues having to do with inventory, personnel or customer complaints.
o Provide budget insight for program specific components.
o Place importance on each shipment that leaves our distribution center to ensure it reflects the Interstate Batteries brand.
o Coordinate with customer care to respond to all correspondence involving inbound and outbound shipments.
o Engage with carriers and suppliers to build trust and prevent delays.
o Ensure timely shipping performance by reviewing reports daily and creating and sharing clear action plans for performance review.
o Review shipping metrics and analyze data to make strategic decisions for the business, sharing wins and opportunities all stakeholders.
o Collaborate with suppliers and other business partners to ensure business goals are being met.
o Anticipate changes in the business and be prepared to lead projects that will align our Fulfillment network with those foreseeable changes.
o 2-4 years of management or leadership experience
o Intermediate level computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
o Proficient in excel, replenishment planning, forecasting and data analysis
o Experience in process mapping and creation of standard operation procedures
o Creation and regular use of scorecard and dashboard performance management
o Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. routinely throughout the workday
o Ability to stand for 50% of the workday
o Strong Leadership and planning skills
o Strong written and verbal Communication skills
o Forklift certification preferred
o Electrical or technical testing experience is a plus
o Must be able to work in a team environment
o Must be able to work independently and with little supervision
o Must be able to provide budget oversight and management to multiple teams
o Must be able to build a strong partnership with supply chain management to ensure adequate stock levels
o Constant standing and walking on concrete floors
o Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continually
o Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures
