We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. HMF's facilities include a state-of-the-art plant, and R&D facility, as well as warehouse and Corporate functions. We are focused on continued growth and are executing against various initiatives that include additional product lines, new sales channels, greater penetration of our extensive customer relationships, as well as opportunistic acquisitions. Our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our functions. To this end, we are posting for a strong Warehouse Supervisor for our Norton facility.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all product movements, raw and finished goods inventories and organization, development and performance of the warehouse team. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for transportation, raw material acceptance procedures, off-site warehousing and performance tracking of manpower and materials. This is a second shift position, running from 4:00PM-2:30am

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interviews and recommends candidates for warehouse positions

  • Trains new hires and on-going staff members on the operation techniques of material handling equipment, rack slotting, sanitation, loading techniques and control of work flow

  • Oversee the planned maintenance of warehouse equipment

  • Develops and implements work schedules and other assignments

  • Works with logistics department to optimize daily inbounds/outbounds schedule

  • Monitors contract transportation performance

  • Implements systems and procedures necessary for accurate inventories

  • Ensures 100% on-time customer service

  • Insures active cost containment initiatives are identified and implemented

  • Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements and guidance

  • Maintains good order & discipline. Recommends appropriate levels of discipline or recognition

  • Completes physical inventories of warehouse products

  • Documents and reports damaged products

  • Researches inventory discrepancies

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse management

  • Previous experience with WMS is a plus

  • Must possess strong math skills; unit of measure conversion

  • Must be fork-lift certified

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Sound decision-making and analytical skills

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

When there is no manager onsite, the Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures.
