The Warehouse Manager is responsible for material management within in company warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will ensure the movement of material within the warehouse is tracked properly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and directs warehouse and selected office functions to ensure equipment distribution and management of warehouse materials.

  • Maintains morale and work standards.

  • Maintaining working knowledge of warehouse data system and performing various tasks within the system.

  • Trains and manages performance of direct reports.

  • Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems.

  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.

  • Controls expenses.

  • Ensures warehouse and equipment are well maintained and safety protocols and OSHA standards are met.

  • Inspecting inventory for defects, scratches, or other damages.

  • Responsible for the pick-up and deliveries of client and vendor materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years operational warehouse experience (Inventory and Stocking Procedures) including managerial experience.

  • Must have valid Driver's License.

  • Forklift certification.

  • Must always follow safe forklift operating rules.

  • Warehouse cleanliness and organization a must.

  • Ability to recognize and identify Product Numbers and Alpha Numeric Codes as well as perform mathematical calculations.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Ability to safely use hand and small power tools.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Telecom experience preferred.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

  • Ability to operate a sophisticated warehouse management system (Oracle), including scanning materials, printing product labels, data entry, product management within the Oracle system and other related activities

  • HS Diploma or greater.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to type, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, including reaching overhead; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 26 to 47 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 52 pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 53 to 99 pounds assisted by power equipment and/or other employees through team lifting. Responsibilities * Maintain a clean work area and common areas. * Follow safety rules and report hazards to a Distribution Area Manager. * Communicate any problems to Distribution Area Lead or Distribution Area Manager. * Transporting, loading and unloading trailers to include using power equipment, conveyors and by hand. * Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain merchandise or containers to be moved. * Loads and unloads merchandise onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. * Lifts heavy objects by hand, team lifting, or with power equipment. * Ensures cases and pallets are correctly sorted. * Move merchandise to other Distribution Center areas as needed. * Regular physical attendance is essential for the performance of the job. * Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills * Maintaining performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety. * Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of personnel. * Completes special projects and tasks as necessary. * Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three years related experience and/or training preferred. Proven working experience as a warehouse worker preferred and familiarity with modern warehousing practices/methods preferred. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must demonstrate the ability to count accurately. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly as needed or as directed.
