Job Description:

Performs day-to-day supervision of a warehouse or distribution center.

Supervises assigned warehouse technicians and related support staff.

Liaises with procurement, suppliers, warehouse, and freight shipping to ensure materials meet mission critical schedules.

Prepares and tracks applications and other documentation relative to ITAR and EAR licenses, TAA's, and other agreements.

Conducts training programs related to export compliance.

Conducts training programs related to GDIT Policies and Procedures for Shipping and Receiving

Conducts training programs related to the use of the SACSS IMD database system.

Oversee all receiving and shipping procedures.

  • Initiate and maintain communication with internal and external customers.

  • Monitor inventory.

  • Perform inventory requirements of materials on hand in accordance with Contract and GDIT requirements. (10% Sampling/Wall-to-Wall)

  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of Warehouse space.

  • Measure and report effectiveness of warehouse activities and employee performance.

  • Maintain clear knowledge of GDIT/OSHA/EHS warehouse safety and operational requirements.

  • Ensure all documentation/paperwork/forms are maintained and kept in accordance with GDIT and Contract requirements.

  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work processes and procedures as necessary.

  • Responsible for maintaining warehouse supplies in order to support SACCS Support Services Shipment of materials.

  • Coordinate all local deliveries utilizing staff and trucking schedules.

  • Maintain and be accountable for all warehousing equipment.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

5+ years of experience, working knowledge of shipyard operations

The likely salary range for this position is $55,250 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
