Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will oversee the manual packing, machine operators (CVP, CS, Packsize) Less Than Truckload (LTL), Pick-To-Light (PTL), and truck loading areas in our e-commerce warehouse. This role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate shipping while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality. The Shipping Supervisor will assign work to team members, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.

What will you do?

  • Guarantee the timely shipping and delivery of products to customers in excellent condition, maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve labor issues to create a positive work environment.

  • Support project teams in process quality activities by educating, coaching, and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools, and application.

  • Determine daily plans, balance workload, and prepare schedules to expedite workflow.

  • Encourage accountability and ownership within the team, ensuring that goals and objectives are met.

  • Solve daily problems and show flexibility and ingenuity to meet deadlines.

  • Make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment while keeping a focus on what is in the best interest of customers.

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify corrective actions on JIRA responses.

  • Ensure correct shipment of national, international, and hazardous material orders by following legal regulations and company policies.

  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

  • Study and standardize processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as put away, picking, inventory management, and quality assurance, to achieve daily goals.

  • Ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Provide safety instructions to personnel as needed and assure compliance with OSHA regulations.

  • Work closely with the shipping department to identify and correct errors.

  • Track and address individual and team RPH, misses, near misses, and quality errors

Service Level Agreements (SLAs) including but not limited to:

  • Ensure hourly production targets in the shipping department are met.

  • Document accountability metrics for all associates.

  • Manage special order exceptions given by Customer Service Representatives daily.

  • Handle rush JIRA tickets daily.

  • Document and train new hires and assist in their development.

  • Document and coach associates on tardiness and absences.

  • Assist in quarterly safety meetings/conversations with employees and quality reviews.

What you bring!

  • Must have experience in the e-commerce industry working with direct to customer orders.

  • Strong skills in communication and problem-solving, with a focus on accuracy and productivity.

  • Ability to use different software such as AS400 and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.

  • Experience in managing processes and coaching and mentoring employees.

  • Strong critical thinking skills.

  • A desire to grow within the company.

  • Full-Time Position: Hours are typically Monday through Friday (9:30 AM - Close).

  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to 12 hours shifts, 6 days a week and holidays as needed to meet customer demand.
