Position Summary

Responsible to supervise the day to day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc. Assigns work to distribution associates and ensures productivity, accuracy, excellent customer service, safe work environment and efficient operations; and trains associates as necessary,

Minimum Requirements

School Education

HS Graduate or Equivalent(GED)

Job Experience

Three (3) years Warehouse distribution experience

Supervisory Experience

ONE (1) YEAR

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Supervise the day to day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc. Work with cross-functional departments as it relates to the distribution center operations and ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues.

Schedule and assign work to warehouse associates to complete workload in a timely and efficient manager while maintaining productivity, accuracy, excellent customer service and safe work environment; plan and schedule activities to control costs on labor and supplies. Maintain warehouse related reporting on related KPI's.

Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. This may include, but is not limited to: - Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations (i.e., safety, sanitation, etc.) and promote and reinforce safety and security awareness; - Oversee and ensure the cleanliness of the work environment; - Ensure proper maintenance of and report any issues related to equipment; and - Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries, and participate in any investigations as required.

Work with warehouse leads to coordinate day-to-day scheduling of associates based on resources, volume, etc.. Ensure team lead is properly training associates; assist with training team on changes in processes and procedures.

Coordinate and lead pre-shift meetings and ensure timely communication with associates on various topics (i.e., distribution procedures, safety, human resources programs, etc.)

Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.

May be responsible to assist with labor agreement administration, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

Good written and verbal communication skills. Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Must be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines. Must have good leadership and training skills; ability to work with all levels of management and line associates. Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs. Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word). Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.

Position Summary Responsible to provide leadership for warehouse activities during assigned shift(s) for the efficient and profitable operation of the distribution center. Ensures the distribution center is prepared to meet schedules and to manage opportunities that arise regarding production planning, logistics, inventory, incoming and outgoing shipments, and the handling and disposition of materials. Minimum Requirements Degrees Associate's Degree (Required) Business Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related area or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Bachelor?s degree preferred. Job Experience Three years experience in a warehouse environment. Supervisory Experience ONE (1) YEAR Responsibilities and Essential Duties Manage warehouse activities during assigned shift(s) for the efficient and profitable operation of the distribution center and to ensure compliance with required safety, regulatory, environmental and company programs, including Federal, State and Local regulations. Plan, coordinate and provide oversight to receiving, storing, selecting and loading and the utilization of space, equipment and staffing to meet such activities in a cost effective manner. Analyze operational issues for root cause and to determine and recommend operational efficiency. Forecast workload requirements, plan for recruitment needs, and assist supervisors with scheduling as needed, to support the business needs and goals of the organization. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations for associates, contractors, etc. Responsible for the oversight of distribution procedures (e.g., training, safety, maintenance, security) while ensuring cost effectiveness/cost reduction, quality, process improvements, associate satisfaction, etc. within the distribution center. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, operations leaders and transportation to achieve a high level of customer service and resolve issues and drive process improvement regarding distribution center activities including production activities, complaints, concerns or violations of loading and unloading of product. Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. This may include, but is not limited to: Work with maintenance team to maintain the physical condition of the warehouse facility and ensure equipment (i.e., MHE) is in proper working condition. Ensure procedures for the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment is followed; address any issues or concerns promptly. Promote and reinforce safety and security awareness; report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries. Responsible for the administration of the labor agreement. Responsible for additional warehouse activities to include managing the salvage of damaged or used material, assisting distribution center leadership with budgeting warehouse and reclamation operations, etc. Support/facilitate communication at the facility on topics including damage, safety, and energy through pre-shift meetings, written communication and one-on-one interaction with associates. Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. Work with Distribution Management to prepare and monitor operating, labor and capital expenditure budgets as required. Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best practices within Distribution Center operations; make recommendations to improve current processes and to ensure company legal compliance.
