Job Description:

NAPA Auto Parts Warehouse, is seeking an individual who can work well independently, is flexible, and enjoys learning and doing new things every day. In this role as a Flexible Floater, you will load trucks, put away freight, do cycle counts, pull orders rapidly for will call, shuttle or main counter, and much much more! We are looking for an individual who can understand and complete assignments in any area of our operation. The person in this role will work when needed- perhaps an afternoon/evening shift, a closing shift or an early morning shift. As a new position the right candidate will enjoy premium pay and be expected to deliver results in every area of the operation!

  • Warehouse and Inventory Experience

  • Be able to lift up to 75lbs easily and regularly

  • Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Checks, verifies, loads, stocks, and pulls inventory to meet store and customer orders.

  • Performs daily inspections of appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: lift gate, pallet jack and hand truck, radio frequency scanners and printers.

  • Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.

  • Verifies and completes required documentation and reports.

  • Complies with hazardous material regulations and procedures.

  • Assists in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment at all times.

  • Complies with all applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / procedures.

Qualifications

  • Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment.

  • Must be able to read, understand written/verbal instructions, and communicate to other team members.

  • Must be able to work in a drug free atmosphere.

  • Ability to work with computer scanning equipment.

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete required training (Initial training is Computer/Internet based.

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a Team environment.

  • Must be able to have basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors and customers).

  • Ability to lift / carry by hand freight weighing up to 75 pounds several times a week.

  • Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.

  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull and move quickly and safely

  • Focus on Safety

  • Experience using excellent body mechanics

  • Able to make decisions; Assess situations and Adapt Accordingly

When appropriate, relocates and consolidates material and notifies management of new bon/table locations. * Utilizes available computer and RF equipment to stage and putaway inbound material. * Fills out logs sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages or non-compliant material. * Uses manual or RF process to pick, pack, weigh and ship product. * Prepares and assembles manual or system generated packing lists and bills of lading for outbound supplier returns customer and branch shipments. * Assists in packing, labeling, wrapping and loading outbound trucks. * Uses system generated or manually prepare local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on pick ticket. * Maintains appropriate forms and records pending return of material. * Verifies return policy guidelines are followed prior to issuing credit for returned material. * Pulls stock and returns to location pending credit memo, sale, or return to supplier. * Cleans warehouse and trucking and parking area. * Ensures safety and security policies are followed. * Assists in velocity slotting product and re-profiling bins, racks, shelves and tables as instructed. * Performs work at established productivity standards. * Administers preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations. * Records verbal and written complaints from customers concerning dissatisfaction with product or service provided. * Processes complaints as instructed. * Maintains counter stock and assists with counter sales. * Assists with warehouse activities as instructed by supervisor or manager.
